1. Run The John Ringling Causeway Bridge Loop
As we all know, running is a great way to de-stress and clear your head after the work day. Full distance is about 3.08 miles. You get a nice breeze and a beautiful view.
What better way to relax then some yoga? Plus, it’s free!
- Every Sunday at 10am at the Environeers off Fruitville Road
- Every 2nd Sunday at 1pm at Darwin’s Brewery
3. Bayfront Park
There is usually a strong breeze and trees with plenty of shade. Great place to bring a book and relax or people watch. Address: Ringling Blvd & Bay Front Drive, Sarasota, FL 34236
4. Visit Cats & Dogs At Local Shelters
Even if you are not planning on adding a furry addition to the family, hanging with shelter pets can be very relaxing for both you and for them. There are also many opportunities to volunteer!
5. Hang Out at the Beach
With so many beautiful locations to choose from, deciding which beach to go to may be a challenge!
6. Go Fishing
When it comes to fishing, there are LOTS of places to choose from, whether you are looking to catch Flounder, Snook, Snapper or Blue Fish.
7. Visit the Ringling Museum
Every Monday the special exhibition galleries are free to the public.
8. Bike the Legacy Trail
A great way to get some exercise with some pretty scenery, the trail extends from Sarasota to Venice. Quite a ride, but worth it!

10. Get Your Drum On
A must do if you have never been! Every Sunday evening before sunset, people gather for the unofficial Siesta Key drum circle. Head to the beach and you won’t be able to miss the crowd.
