Serving Fort Lauderdale, Sarasota, Tampa & Orlando
Summer is almost here—are you ready?
Beyond a sculpted beach body and the perfect tan, it’s important to be gainfully employed during the summer months. The bills don’t stop coming; unfortunately they don’t take a summer break. There is still rent to be paid, loans owed, and car payments to be handled— on top of everyday living expenses.
This time of year, our staffing agency experiences a significant increase in general labor work. Could one of these opportunities be the summer job for you? Or someone you know? Take a look!
Types of Summer Jobs
We have summer jobs available for Groundskeepers, Maintenance Technicians, HVAC Technicians, Light Industrial / Warehouse Workers, Property Managers, and additional similar types of positions. Some of these jobs are short term and last a few days, while others are longer term and could end up going permanent.
The general labor positions we offer often require a variety of skills. However, many of our employers are willing to train on the job and will hire with no experience necessary.
Typically, our maintenance and grounds employees will perform a range of duties like picking up trash, blowing leaves, painting, light lawn care, pressure washing, picking up construction sites, and beach cleanup.
Our HVAC Technicians must have certification. They will often work directly with residents and team members to diagnose, assess and repair issues to include electrical, plumbing, A/C, heating and appliances. They will be expected to maintain service records and follow up on unresolved customer service issues to ensure resolution.
We prefer our light industrial employees to have experience in Warehouse, Machine Operating, Sheet Metal, Heat Treat Operation, and Assembly. Knowledge operating injection mold machines is a plus.
What We Look For in an Employee
For our summer jobs, we look for hardworking, dependable individuals who have good attention to detail and the ability to follow specific verbal or written work instructions with minimal supervision. You must be able to pass a National Background Check and have reliable transportation. We also ask that you have good references and a steady work history.
Many of these seasonal positions do require a tolerance of the Florida heat. Our employees also must be able to lift up to 50lbs, if necessary.
